gspot codec status undetermined

Cant Play / Load A RAW DV file "Codec Status Undetermined" Please.
I noticed that GSpot showed (as per your screenshot above) that the codec status was undetermined (despite it showing in the list of codecs).
I read a thread here about using Gspot to determine the codec, which tells. /> Codec: hdv7 status: Codec status undetermined frame.
2) Can't play the "Fil.flv" file at all (GSpot info below). The error message is. VIDEO_CODEC_STATUS Codec Status Undetermined.

as usual i seem to be in over my head. GSpot reports, Codec Status Undetermined. can't seem to find anything in the manual about what codec.
